phew...you made it!

i had, what i've chosen to call, an epiphany - and instead of ignoring it, which is what i normally do when presented with the unknown, i've decided to embrace it. or at the very least, gingerly hug it while doing that, ok-i'm-done-now, patting on the back thing.

my epiphany is this - a family blog page! a central place where we can write family updates, post pictures, share funny or interesting things we've seen or heard, quotes, musings, things to make us think, or whatever. since i first had this idea, a few more of you have started your own blogs, which is great, but there are still some not quite ready to take the plunge - so maybe this will work for you?! it really is pretty simple and self-explanitory once you get in there - so please don't let the fear of the unknown scare you off and make you think you can't participate - besides there are countless numbers of young'uns just itchin' to help out the old folks!

so now that you're all with me, here's what you do...

add this address to your favorites or bookmark -

www.bigfamilypost.blogspot.com

it will take you to our family blog page named...

everything but sunday dinner.

once you are there, in the upper right hand corner it will say...

sign-in...click it...and the next page will say blogger...in the top right again it will read, "sign into blogger"...type in the username/email - tru_blu64@yahoo.com...and the password - family247365...this next page is named dashboard and will give you a few options for editing the blog site. for now you just want to click on the tab that says post and has a little green + beside it.

you should now be at the posting screen...and all that's left to do is begin typing away to your little hearts content! you can add photos by clicking on the little picture icon, and it will walk you through what to do. and don't worry about mistakes - you can post, and edit, and re-post, and re-edit as often as you need to until you're happy with what you see on the main page. you really can't get it wrong!

see, easy as pie, clear as mud!!

i've added the links to all the other family pages to our main page - those who already have a blog are more than welcome to do double duty and add your thoughts or news here when ever you feel so inclined.

p.s. - the blog name is tentative - any one can offer names and we can decide on a new one if we want to. i thought of this title because i figure we can share most everything on this page, except get togethers...and sunday dinner.
