i ran out of whole wheat flour, which i normally bake bread with, and i was hunting around for other recipes which led to my attempt at rye bread. it looks like a brain, it weighs a brick, and even after baking it an hour the middle is still doughy. A total flop! it does smell good which only makes me sad because i like rye bread and usually my bread turns out well. i stick to about three tried and true recipes and mix the dough in my bread machine. So i was wondering if you had a good rye bread recipe, especially one that fits in a bread machine (i don't like touching sticky dough), could you post them for me, please?...And... i bake them in the oven so i need temp and time for that modification too.
Love,
the helpless baker of rocks.
