the nerves and trepidation she might have felt for the past couple of days didn't hold a candle to the excitement and realization that she was ACTUALLY GOING!!! it has been so long in coming it is almost surreal to think that even as i write this caitlin, my baby, is gingerly, independently, making her way from LAX Domestic Terminal 1 to the qantas check-in at International Terminal 4. she will leave u.s. soil at midnight. it's a good thing the Lord made mothers' hearts are so strong.-:-
she has the latest twilight book squirrelled away in backpack. her ipod is loaded for bear. her father gave her a blessing. her mother hasn't miss an opportunity to offer any and all pieces of council, information or dire warnings she deemed important. prayers have been offers. blessings imparted. phone numbers listed. and goodbyes said. she's yours for the next month...and ONLY the next month. she will not follow in my footsteps and break her mothers heart. love her please, but send her home...pretty please?

You know we're going to smother her in Smylie love. Just like you've done to me on numerous occations. Can't wait to see her. Rebecca and I have already planned out her time in the Blue mountains, beach and sydney harbour. So lets hope the weather holds out. Otherwise we'll be playing boardgames and sharing funny stories, which isn't so bad either. She's going to have a blast, and the memories and family connections will last a life time.
Her month will be sooo jammed packed that it will go extremely quickly. We'll love her and enjoy her company. Thanks for sharing her with us.
